One-Skillet Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
  • 1 jar (30 oz.) spaghetti sauce
  • 3/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 8 ounces uncooked thin spaghetti, broken into pieces and precooked 6 minutes in boiling water.
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)

Directions

  1. Cook and stir hamburger and onions in 10-inch skillet or Dutch oven until hamburger is light brown; drain.

  2. Stir in spaghetti sauce, green pepper, water, mushrooms, salt, sugar, chili powder and precooked.

  3. Transfer mixture to a greased 9” x 13” baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.

  4. Bake covered at 350° for 30 minutes.
