Easy Taco Melts

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef, cooked and drained
  • 1 1/2 c thick and chuncky salsa
  • 1 can large refrigerated biscuits
  • 1/2 c shredded Monterey Jack Cheese or Mexican Cheese blend

Directions

  1. Preheat oven 375 degrees

  2. In skillet mix cooked beef and 1/2 cup of the salsa. Cook over med-high heat stirring occasionaly until hot.

  3. Press each biscuit into 6-in rounds.

  4. Spoon 1/3 cup meat mix and 1 tbls cheese into center of each round.

  5. Fold dough in half over filling. Press to seal. Place on greased cookie sheet.

  6. Bake 9-14 min or until golden brown. Serve with remaining salsa.
