Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c carrots, peeled & sliced
  • 1 medium onion, peeled & sliced
  • 1 lb hamburger, browned
  • 1 c frozen corn
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 c gravy
  • 2 c mashed potatoes

Directions

  1. Place carrots in small sauce pan, barely cover with water and cook until fork-tender, drain.

  2. In separate sauce pan, cook onion, barely covered with water until tender, drain.

  3. Combine meat, vegetables, salt & pepper in 2 qt casserole, mix well.

  4. Heat gravy, pour over meat & vegetables. Stir to combine

  5. Bake uncovered at 350’ for 20 minutes.

  6. Put potatoes on top and bake 20 minutes more.
