Cheese Fondue

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic, halved
  • 1 lb swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 c dry white wine
  • 3 tbsp Kirsh (liquor)
  • 2 tsp corn starch
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • pepper
  • Bread
  • Apples

Directions

  1. Rub pot with garlic cloves

  2. Heat wine until boiling

  3. Mix together all other ingredients and add to wine

  4. Stir in cheese

  5. Stir fondue back & forth, not in a circle to keep from forming a ball

  6. Anyone dropping bread squares into pot has to kiss the person to the right.
