Ingredients

  • Egg plant 1/2 (I used the large one) round cut or cut quarters
  • egg 1
  • garlic paste 1/2tsp
  • chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  • pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt as per taste
  • bread crumbs 1/2 cup
  • oil for shallow frying 3 tbsp

Directions

  1. Wash and cut the egg plant into thin rounds or semicircle or quarters.Soak them in a bowl of water and then whisk an egg ,add in the spices ,salt.Dip each cut slice of egg plant into this and roll it in bread crumbs.Heat oil in a kadai and shallow fry them by turning both sides.place them on a paper towel and serve.

  2. NOTES

    • You can also omit the bread crumbs part and only dip it in egg mixture and shallow fry them.I did a few like that as shown in pics .Both tasted good but those with the bread crumbs coating had more oil in them.
