Carol Reyers’ Spaghetti

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 6 strips bacon
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 envelopes dry spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 12-oz. can tomato paste
  • 3 1/2 cups cold water

Directions

  1. Cut bacon into pieces and fry until crisp. Drain and crumble. Brown ground beef in 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings.

  2. In a deep saucepan, mix together bacon, sauce mix, tomato paste and water. Add ground beef. Heat to boiling, stirring frequently.

  3. Simmer at least 10 minute, uncovered and stirring occasionally.
