Quinoa Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 Rounded cups cooked Quinoa
  • 3/4 Cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 C. low fat cottage cheese
  • 1 medium carrot finely chopped
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 T all purpose flour
  • 2 green onions
  • 1/2 tea sugar or splenda
  • 1/4 tea black pepper
  • 1/4 tea cumin
  • 1/8 ta salt
  • 1/8 garlic powder
  • olive oil

Directions

  1. Quinoa: In medium sauce pan bring 2 C water and 1/2 tea salt to boil over medium heat. Add Quinoa and reduce heat to low. Cover 18-20 min or until all water is absorbed and seeds are tender.

  2. In large bowl combine Quinoa, cheese, cottage cheese, carrots, eggs, flour, green onions, sugar, pepper, cumin, salt, and garlic powder.

  3. Heat frying pan with Olive oil cook med-low heat. Mix will be sticky. Measure 1/4 cup and drop on to pan. Lightly fry 4 min each side.
