Sauteed Asparagus and Peas

Ingredients

  • 2 T. unsalted butter
  • 1/4 c. minced shallots
  • 1 bunch thin asparagus spears, trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 1 tsp. honey

Directions

  1. Melt butter in saucepan over medium-low heat. Add shallots and cook until soft and translucent, about 4-5 minutes.

  2. Add a.sparagus, 1/4 tsp salt and pepper to taste. Continue cooking over medium-low heat, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add peas and honey and cook about one minute more until the peas are warmed through. Add more salt and pepper to taste and serve.
