Ally’s Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 1 tbsp and more of relish
  • 1 tbsp and more of plum sauce (ketchup if n/a)
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • .25 tsp pepper (or Spike or Mrs Dash etc)
  • 2 tbsp onion soup mix
  • 2 lb ground beef (lean)
  • .5 cup plum sauce (or ketchup if n/a)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • .25 tsp dry mustard

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (180C)

  2. Combine egg, onion, relish, plum sauce, salt, pepper, onion soup mix in large bowl

  3. Add ground beef and oats — mix thoroughly with fingers or wooden spoon

  4. Pack in loaf pan (~ 5″ × 9″)

  5. Combine plum sauce, brown sugar and mustard and spread on top of ground beef

  6. ke 1.5 hours or until meat is cooked
