Crispy Baked Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 t. salt
  • 1 1/2 t. chili powder
  • 1/2 t. oregano
  • 1/4 t. black pepper
  • 4 chicken breasts or 1 broiler-fryer, cut up
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine

Directions

  1. Combine first six ingredients. Dip chicken in milk; then roll in cornmeal mixture. Please in greased 13×9 baking pan. Drizzle with butter.

  2. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 50-55 minutes for broiler-fryer or 20-25 minutes for breasts.
