Crock Pot French Dip Sanwiches

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lb. rump roast, trimmed
  • 1 package au jus gravy packet
  • 1 package dry italian dressing mix
  • 1 10.5 oz can beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • green pepper, sliced thin (optional)
  • onion, sliced thin (optional)
  • hoagie rolls
  • swiss cheese (optional)

Directions

  1. Place roast in crock pot. Mix next 4 ingredients and pour over meat. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Remove roast (if adding peppers and/or onions, put those in crockpot and turn on high just until peppers get limp). Remove veggies and set aside. Reserve juice for serving.

  2. Slice meat thinly or pull apart. Place meat on buns with optional veggies and cheese. Wrap in foil. Heat in oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve on plate with cup of juice for dipping.
