Ingredients
- 1 pound beef stew meat
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cold water
- 2 tablespoons flour
Directions

Cook and stir beef in shortening until brown; drain. Stir in next 8 ingredients. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer until beef is tender, 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Shake 1/4 up cold water and flour in tightly covered container; stir gradually into beef mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over cooked egg noodles.
