Icy fruit crush

Ingredients

  • 75g caster sugar
  • 1 litre smoothie, made with milk and fruit, such as Innocent Strawberries & Bananas

Directions

  1. Put the sugar into a microwave-proof bowl. Add 300ml water and microwave on high for 2 minutes (for a 900W oven) to melt the sugar. Pour the syrup into a 2-litre plastic tub, add the smoothie and stir to mix. Cover with a lid and freeze for 3 hours, until it’s icy on top but liquid underneath. Break the ice with a fork and divide it among 6 glasses. Pour over the liquid and serve with straws.
