Rich and Creamy Hot Fudge Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 Can (12 oz.) evaporated milk
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 T butter or margarine
  • 2 T light corn syrup
  • 1 pkg (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ice cream

Directions

  1. In a medium, heavy-duty saucepan, combine evaporated milk, sugar, butter and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring constantly for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until thickened and smooth. Serve over ice cream. Store leftover sauce in refrigerator.
