Ingredients
- 1 C boiling water
- 1 C quick cooking oats
- 1/2 C margarine
- 1 C sugar
- 1 C brown sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1.5 flour
- 1 t soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1/4 t nutmeg
- Frosting:
- 1/4 C melted margarine
- 1/2 C packed brown sugar
- 3 T half and half
- 1/4 c chopped pecans
- 3/4 C coconut
Directions

Pour boiling water over oats, cover and let stand for 20 minutes. Beat butter until creamy. Gradually add sugar adn beat until creamy. Gradually add sugar & beat until fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Add oats mixture. Mix well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

Frosting:

Combine all ingredients. Spread evenl over cake. Broil until bubbly.
