Bacon-Swiss Tossed Salad

Ingredients

  • 4 C torn romaine
  • 1 C shredded swiss cheese
  • 3/4 C real bacon bits
  • 1/2 C salted cashews
  • DRESSING
  • 3 T brown sugar
  • 2 T water
  • 2 T red wine vinegar
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp dried minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/4 tsp ground mustard
  • Dash salt

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, cheese, bacon and cashews. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the dressing ingredients; shake well. Pour over salad and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
