Ingredients
- 1/2lb ground sirloin, sauteed
- 1 medium onion, chopped course
- 1 large carrot, chopped course
- 1 stalk celery, chopped course
- 2 gloves garlic, chopped course
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 2 beef bouillon cubes, in two cups water
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions

Put above ingredients in large saucepan and simmer for 1hr or more. Then add:

1/2 cup frozen peas

1/2 cup frozen green beans

Cook for 20 minutes, then add:

1/2 cup cooked small macaroni

1 8oz can red kidney beans, washed and drained

If too thick, add more water.

Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese.
