Ingredients
- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 11/2 T baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 1 C shortening
- 1 C peanut butter
- 1 lb. packed brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 T vanilla
- 1/4 C chopped peanuts
- Frosting:
- 1 lb. confectioner's sugar
- 1/2 C peanut butter
- 1/2 C shortening
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 t vanilla
- ⅓ C hot water
Directions

at oven to 350. Coat 2 13×9×2 inch baking pans with cooking spray.

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, beat shortening, peanut butter and brown sugar on medium-high speed for 3 minutes. Add eggs; beat 3 minutes more. Add vanilla.

On low speed, beat in the flour mixture. Stir in the peanuts.

Divide batter between prepared pans. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool slightly.

Frosting: Beat confectioner’s sugar, peanut butter, shortening, salt and vanilla. Add hot water a little at a time. Beat until smooth. Spread over blondes while still warm.
