Ingredients
- 3/4 C sugar
- 13/4 C milk
- 1 t. salt
- 3 T cornstarch
- 2 T flour
- grated rind of lemon
- juice of 2 lemons
- 2 eggs

Sift dry ingredients

Add milk and cook in double boiler til thick. Add egg yolks, slightly beaten and cook 1 min. longer. (remove from fire before adding yolks).

After adding yolks, add lemon juice and rind. Cool and fill baked pastry shell.

Beat egg whites stiff, allowing 1 1/2 T sugar for each egg white and a dash of salt.

Add sugar when stiff. Spread on pie.
- Brown slightly in 350 oven.
