Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. chopped beef
- 1 med. onion, chopped or onion powder to taste
- 1/2 green pepper, sliced
- 1/2 c. green olives
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. dry cooking wine
- 1 c. tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- Mushroom slices or pieces, optional
Directions

Soak raisins in cooking wine. Saute onion and green pepper and set aside. Brown ground beef; remove excess fat. Combine beef, onions, green pepper, raisins, cooking wine, tomato sauce, and bay leaf in a large skillet at medium- high temperature and stir for 3 minutes. Add seasonings and simmer at low temperature for 15 minutes.
