Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. black beans
- 4 slices bacon, chopped & fried
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- Salt & cayenne pepper
- Meat stock or broth
- 2 c. cooked rice

Wash beans, cover with 5 cups water. Soak overnight (or bring to boil, boil 2 minutes, cover and let stand 1 hour). Boil beans in salted water until tender. Drain. Add bacon, garlic and onion. Season with chili powder, salt, cayenne. Add broth to cover beans and simmer until beans fall apart. A little and make thick sauce. Pour over rice.
