CROCK-POT BEEF BARBECUE

(from largomason’s recipe box)

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lbs. chuck roast or stew meat
  • 1 lg. white onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. lemon
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

  1. Cut meat into 2 inch cubes.

  2. Put into crock-pot in order listed. Don’t stir.

  3. Cook on LOW 12 hours.

  4. Can stir 2-3 hours into cooking.

  5. Meat will shred when done.

  6. Serve on buns.
