Ingredients
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups 2% milk
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- pinch salt
- pinch black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter or margarine
- 2 cups coarsely shredded Cheddar
Directions

In a large saucepan, cook macaroni according to the package directions, then drain and set aside.

In the same saucepan, whisk together the milk, flour, salt and pepper.

Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.

Cook, stirring often, for 2 minutes or until thickened and smooth, then remove from heat.

Stir in butter and cheese until cheese is melted.

Stir in macaroni.
