- 1 pkg German sweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 cup margarine
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
Directions

Melt chocolate in the water.

Cream margarine and sugar.

Add 4 egg yolks one at a time.

Blend in chocolate and vanilla.

Add flour,soda and salt alternately with butter milk

Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
