Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon vinegar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 cup crisco
• 1 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 oz red food coloring
• 2 tablespoon cocoa
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup butter milk
• 2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

1. Mix vinegar and baking soda

2. Set aside.

3. Cream crisco and sugar.

4. Add eggs.

5. Beat well.

6. Add red food coloring.

7. Add cocoa and salt.

8. Add flour and butter milk alternately a little at a time.

9. Add vanilla

10. Add vinegar and soda mixture.

11. Pour batter into a floured 9X13 pan.

12. Bake at 350 till done
