Home Made Heath Bars

Ingredients

  • 30 Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup br. sugar
  • 1 cup real butter
  • 1 pkg. (12 oz) choco chips
  • Crushed nuts (optional)
  • Crushed peppermints (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat 375*

  2. Line cookie sheet with foil. Place a layer of crackers on foil.

  3. Combine br. sugar and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 min., stirring constantly.

  4. Pour mixture over crackers. Place in oven (375*) for 5 min. Spread chips over the top. If chips do not melt well enough to spread well, return to oven for 1-2 min.

  5. Add any toppings desired.
