Frosted Brownies

Ingredients

  • Brownies:
  • 1/4 C. cocoa
  • 1 C. Margarine
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • Frosting:
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 C. milk
  • 3 T. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/2-4 C. powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Brownies:

  2. Melt together:

  3. 1/4 C. cocoa

  4. 1 C. Margarine

  5. Add to above:

  6. 2 C. sugar

  7. 3 eggs

  8. 1 tsp. vanilla

  9. 2 C. flour

  10. 1/2 tsp. salt

  11. 1/2 tsp. baking powder

  12. Bake at 325* for 35-40 min.

  13. Frosting:

  14. 1 stick margarine

  15. 1/2 C. milk

  16. 3 T. cocoa

  17. 1 tsp. vanilla

  18. 3 1/2-4 C. powdered sugar

  19. Bring the milk, margarine, and cocoa to a boil and boil 1 min. Add vanillla. Let cool a bit and then add powdered sugar, a little at a time until spreadable. Frosting will “firm up” as it sets.
