Ingredients
- 1. Ruhi fish : 6pieces
- 2. Garlic : 1 piece (paste)
- 3. Tomato puree : 1/2 cup
- 4. Salt : to taste
- 5. Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
- 6. Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
- 7. Mustard oil : 1 cup
- 8. Whole cumin seeds : 1 tsp
Directions
- Marinate the fish with ½ tsp of turmeric powder & 1 tsp of salt for 1 hour.
- Heat 1 cup of mustard oil in a wok.
- Fry the marinated fish & keep aside.
- In the remaining oil add whole cumin seeds.
- When it changes colour add garlic paste. Stir in the low flame.
- Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder, red chilli powder, tomato puree, salt & stir for a minute.
- Add ½ cup of water & fried fishes. Stir & cook till the gravy thickens.
- Remove from heat & serve with steamed rice or polao.
