Bengali Cabbage

Cabbage is an excellent source of vitamin C & also it is used in dieting program. Cabbage curry is one of the easiest way of having vitamin C & moreover it is not at all spicy.

Ingredients
- 1. Cabbage : 1 piece (finely chopped)
- 2. Potato : 2 pieces (diced)
- 3. Whole cumin seeds : 1 tsp
- 4. Bay Leaves : 1 piece
- 5. Sugar : 1 tsp
- 6. Green Chilli : 4 pieces (cut lengthwise)
- 7. Tomato : 1 piece (chopped)
- 8. Salt : to taste
- 9. Ghee : 1 tbsp
- 10. Oil : 1/2 cup
- 11. Green Peas : 1 cup
- 12. Ginger paste : 1 tbsp
Directions
- Heat oil in a wok.
- Add whole cumin seeds & bay leaves in low flame.
- Add potatoes. Stir well till golden brown.
- Add green peas, tomatoes. Stir for a minute.
- Add sugar, salt, ginger, green chilli.
- Add cabbage & stir well for 2 minutes.
- Cover & cook for 3 minutes.
- Uncover & stir till oil releases.
- Pour ghee before removing & serve hot with plain rice or chapatti.
