German Sweet Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Bakers German sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • CREAM CHEESE TOPPING:
  • 4 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. flour

Directions

  1. Prepare brownie layer: microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl at high 2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

  2. Stir sugar into melted chocolate. Stir in eggs and vanilla until completely mixed. Mix in flour until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 8 inch square pan.

  3. Prepare cream cheese topping: In same bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, egg, and flour until smooth. Spoon over brownie mixture, swirl with knife to marbelize.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Do not over bake.

  5. Makes 16 brownies.
