Macadamia Pie Crust

(from jacinta’s recipe box)

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 150 g macadamia nuts
  • 100 g almond meal
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Zest of one orange
  • 1 tbsp raw honey

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 100°C.

  2. Process nuts in the food processor

  3. until they resemble fine crumbs.

  4. Add the almond meal and the zest,

  5. and process.

  6. Add the butter and honey, and process again.

  7. Place the mixture into a pie tin, and press into a smooth crust using the back of a spoon.

  8. Bake in the oven for approximately 15 minutes or until

  9. golden (watch it carefully because it can burn easily).

  10. Place the crust into the refrigerator to set
