Microwave Crawfish Etouffee

Just as good as stove-cooked etouffee…and FAST!

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves 3 people

Ingredients
- 1 pound crawfish tails
- 1 tsp crab boil
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup water
- Flour, to thicken
Directions

Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl.

Stir in the seasonings.

Add crawfish.

Add water.

Stir thoroughly.

Microwave for 4 minutes.

Remove from microwave.

Sprinkle a little flour over the mix until gravy
- starts to form.

Microwave for 3 minutes.

Stir to see if gravy is thick enough.

If it is, microwave for 4 minutes at a time,
- until hot.

Serve over rice.

If it is not thick enough, add a little more flour

Stir until dissolved.

Microwave for 3 minutes.

Remove and stir.

Repeat until gravy is thick enough for your
- taste.

Serve over rice.
