Spanish Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 TBSP vegetable oil
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat

  2. Add rice.

  3. Cook until puffed to golden brown.

  4. Add salt and cumin, stir in.

  5. Stir in onions and cook until tender.

  6. Stir in tomato sauce and chicken broth.

  7. Boil.

  8. Reduce heat to low.

  9. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
