Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- 4 cups miniature marshmallows or 1 7 oz jar marshmallow cream
Directions

Lightly spray 13×9×2 inch baking pan with non stick cooking spray; set aside.

Melt the butter in a large saucepan, set over low heat. Add marshmallows or marshmallow cream and stir with a wooden spoon until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add the cereal, stirring until cereal is well coated.

Using a large square of wax paper, press mixture evenly into prepared pan. Cool completely. Cut into 2 inch squares. Store in containers between layers of wax paper.

Variations

Peanut Butter Crispy Treats: Prepare as directed above, but stir 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter into the marshmallow mixture before adding the cereal.

Cocoa Crispy Treats: Prepare as directed above, but use cocoa flavored Rice Krispies instead of regular.

Chocolate Chip Mint Treats: Prepare as directed above, but stir in 1 tsp peppermint extract to the marshmallow butter mixture. Add 1 cup miniature semi sweet chocolate chips with the cereal.

Citrus Treats: Prepare as directed above, but stir in 1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon, lime or orange zest to the marshmallow butter mixture before adding the cereal.

Almond Lovers Treats: Prepare as directed above, but stir in 3/4 teaspoons almond extract to the marshmallow butter mixture. Add 1 cup coarsely chopped honey roasted almonds along with the cereal.
