Brie in Pastry

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of Brie
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 box of frozen puff pastry
  • 1 egg
  • Baguette or other bread

Directions

  1. Scrape some of the rind off of the brie.

  2. Spread cream cheese on top, about 1/4" thick.

  3. Wrap in pastry. One sheet on the bottom, wrapped up and another sheet on the top, wrapped underneath. Brush with beaten egg.

  4. Bake on a greased baking sheet at 350 for 45 minutes.

  5. Cut a circle in the top of paster and stir a bit to combine cheeses. Keep warm in a chafing dish for serving. Serve with bread.
