Applesauce Pork Chops

Serves 4 people

Ingredients
- 2T butter
- 1/2 C chopped onion
- 2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
- 4 thick pork chops
- 1 1/2 C applesauce or apple puree
- 3T brown sugar
- 1t ground mustard
- 1/4 t ground cinnamon
- 1/2 t salt
- ground black pepper to taste
Directions

Lightly cook onion and apple slices in butter, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

Brown both sides of pork chops in same pan.

Mix applesauce, sugar, mustard and cinnamon with apple/onion mixture.

Place pork chops in baking pan, season with the salt and pepper.

Spoon applesauce mixture over chops and cover dish.

Bake in oven pre-heated to 190oC for 30-45 minutes until tender and cooked.
