Apple Crisp

Can be served warm with ice cream.
Note: Sometimes I double the topping.

Ingredients
- 4 cups sliced pared tart apples (about 4 med.)
- 2/3 to 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 to 1 cup oats
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
- 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
Directions

Heat oven to 375*. Grease 8×8×2″ pan. Place apples in pan.

Mix remaining ingredents throughly. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
