Apple Crisp

Can be served warm with ice cream.

Note: Sometimes I double the topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced pared tart apples (about 4 med.)
  • 2/3 to 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 to 1 cup oats
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375*. Grease 8×8×2″ pan. Place apples in pan.

  2. Mix remaining ingredents throughly. Sprinkle over apples.

  3. Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
