Canned Tomato Soup from Dad’s Farm

Ingredients

  • 1 peck tomatoes
  • 6 onions
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1 stick butter
  • pepper

Directions

  1. Juice tomatoes, onions and peppers (run through juicer 4 times)

  2. Melt butter and mix with flour and 1/2 cup tomato juice. Pour flour mixture into a large stock pot and add the rest of the juice. Add sugar, salt and pepper. Boil until creamy. Transfer to jars (use pint size next time) and hot water bath for 20 min.
