Couscous with Ham and Peas

Ingredients
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1/2 cup instant couscous
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/2 small onion, peeled and finely chopped
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- pinch of sugar
- pinch of salt
- 3 1/2 tbsp water
- 1/4 cup diced ham
- salt and pepper
Directions

Bring the stock to a boil; pour over couscous.

Stir with a fork and set aside for about 6 minutes.

Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan and saute the onion for 2-3 minutes until softened.

Add the peas, sugar, salt and water.

Lower the heat, cover, and cook for 3 minutes more.

Fluff the couscous with a fork, stir in the onion, peas and diced ham.

Season to taste.
