Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening or vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup All Bran
- 2 cups Nabisco 100% Bran
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 1/2 tsp baking soda
Directions

Pour boiling water over the All Bran and 100% bran.

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, salt and flour together.

Dissolve soda in a little buttermilk and add to mixture above along with remaining buttermilk.

Add Bran mixture and mix well.

To bake fill muffin cups 1/2 full and bake for 20 mins in 400 degree oven.

Batter keeps in refrigerator for three weeks.
