Chocolate Trail Blazer Bars

Ingredients

  • 3 1 oz squares unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups granola cereal
  • 1/4 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 2/3 cup sweetened coconut flakes

Directions

  1. Lightly spray 13×9×2 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.

  2. In a large saucepan or dutch oven, melt the chocolate and the peanut butter with the condensed milk over low heat, stirring until blended and smooth.

  3. Remove saucepan from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract, granola and coconut until well blended. With a large square of wax paper, press into the prepared pan. Chill 1-2 hrs or until set. Cut into 24 bars. Store in covered containers between layers of wax paper.
