Dutch Apple (or Peach) Cake

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups sifted flour
- 1 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. sugar
- 1/2 cup better, room temp
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 Tbs milk
- 3 c. pared, sliced apples (or Peaches)
- TOPPING
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbs flour
- 1/4 t. cinnamon
- 2 Tbs butter, room temp
Directions

Heat over to 375

In medium bowl, mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

In another bowl, cream butter.

Ad sifted dry ingredients and mix until combined.

In small bowl, combine egg and milk; add to creamed mixture and mix well.

ess mixture onto bottom of greased 11×7.5 pan.

Press fruit into dough to they overlap.

Sprinkle with topping, then bake for 50 mins.

TOPPING: In a bowl mix sugar, flour and cinnamon.

Cut in butter until coarse crumbs are formed.

Will be more like bars than a cake; crumbly crust.
