Ingredients
- SAUCE
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 T. EVOO
- 2 1lb cans tomato (4 cups)
- 1/2 t. pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 c. water
- 1.5 t. salt
- 2 6oz cans tomato paste
- 1/5 t. crushed oregano
- MEATBALLS
- 4 slices dry bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. fresh parm
- 2 T chopped parsley
- 1 glove garlic, crushed
- 1 t. oregano or basil
- 1 t. salt
- dash pepper
- 2 T. EVOO
Directions

Sauce:

Cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender, not brown.

stir in remaning ingredients.

Simmer uncovered 30 min
-
remove bay leaf.

Add meatballs and cook 30 mins longer.

MEATBALLS

Soak bread in some water 2-3 mins, then squeeze out moisture

Combine bread with remaining ingredients, except oil and mix well.

Form into balls
-
Brown slowly in hot oil.

Add to sauce and cook 30 mins more.
