Almond Salad

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. tarragon vinegar
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. tarragon flakes
  • 1 can manderin oranges (chilled) (can use fresh pineapple or grapefruit or avocado also)
  • Romaine lettuce
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 4-6 oz toasted almonds, sliced
  • Melted butter

Directions

  1. Put first 5 ingredients in jar and refrigerate.

  2. Toast almonds in melted butter (about 1/4 stick)

  3. Put lettuce, onion and oranges in bowl.

  4. Pour almonds, butter on top and toss with dressing.
