Lynn Garrow’s Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 heads of lettuce
  • 1 bunch green onions - chopped
  • 1/2 lb bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 can rice noodles
  • 2.5 oz slivered almonds
  • 4 T. sesame seeds
  • (bake almonds and seeds @ 275 for 8 mins - watch closely!)
  • Dressings: 1/2 c. sugar
  • 6 T red wine vinegar

Directions

  1. Heat sugar and red wine vinegar on stove, until sugar is dissolved.

  2. Add 1/2 c. oil to vinegar mixture in a blender.

  3. Add 1 t. salt and 1/2 t. pepper and blend .

  4. Do not refrigerate dressing

  5. Put on salad just before serving.
