Thanksgiving Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 12 c. dried bread crumbs (1 loaf of bread dried)
  • 3 c. diced celery
  • 3 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. pepper
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 lb pork sausage, cooked and drained
  • 1 c. melted butter
  • 1 t. dried sage
  • 1/2 of onion, sliced

Directions

  1. Cook giblet and neck in salted water with cut up celery and onion until soft. (water to cover neck, giblets)

  2. Chop finely liver, gizzard and heart. Strip meat from neck.

  3. Add to bread cubes, add water from kettle when you covered giblets.

  4. Add finely chopped 1/2 onion.

  5. Stuff into turkey
