Sloppy Joe’s

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs ground chuck
  • 3 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped green peppers
  • 3 T. vinegar
  • 2 T. sugar
  • 2 t. dry mustard
  • 2 t. salt
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 2 c. ketchup

Directions

  1. Slightly brown meat.

  2. Add vinegar mixture (vinegar, sugar, mustard and salt – mix until dissolved) and stir, breaking up lumps.

  3. Add onion, green pepper, garlic; mix well.

  4. Add ketchup, stir and reduce heat to simmer for about 1 hour.

  5. May want to add 1/2 water of too dry.
