Nigella’s Sour Cream Chocolate Cake

Yummy large cake or 18 cup cakes
Have ingredients at room temperature before commencing mixing

Serves 18 people

Ingredients

  • 200g plain flour
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 1t baking powder
  • 1/2t baking soda
  • 40g cocoa
  • 175g softened butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2t vanilla essence
  • 150ml sour cream

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into food processor (or mixing bowl) and process all together until well combined and smooth.

  2. Bake in large cake pan, lined, at 180oC approx 30 minutes

  3. or in paper lined patty pans approx 15 mins.

  4. Ice when cold.
