Taffy Apple Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C chopped peanuts
  • 1 Lrg can of crushed pineapple
  • 2 C small marshmellows
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 T flour
  • 1 1/2 T vinegar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 C coolwhip
  • 2 C unpeeled apples, diced

Directions

  1. 1) Drained juice from pineapples place in small mixing bowl and set aside.

  2. 2) Combine pineapples and marshmellows in a large bowl

  3. 3) Refrigerate overnight

  4. 4) In a large sauce pan- Mix pineapple juice, sugar, flour, vinager, and egg.

  5. 5) Cook for 10 min. on Med. heat until thick

  6. 6) Refrigerate over night

  7. 7) On day of serving combine apples, peanuts, coolwhip, mixture, and chill for 1HR.
