Rav’n Ravioli

preheat oven to 400 degrees

Ingredients

  • 1 med. green bell pepper
  • 1/2 C onion, chopped
  • 1 t olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 packages (9 ounces each) refrigerated ravioli (any flavor)
  • 1 1/4 C water
  • 12 French bread baguette slices
  • 1/4 C butter or margarine,melted
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded (1cup)
  • 1oz fresh parmesan cheese, grated( about 1/4 cup)

Directions

  1. 1) chop bell pepper and onion.

  2. heat olive oil over med. heat; add bell pepper, onion and garlic pressed.

  3. cook 2-3 min. or until vegetable are tender.

  4. stir in spaghetti sauce, ravioli and water. Bring to a boil.

  5. 2) Meanwhile, cut French bread in 12slices about 1/2 thick. microwave butter to melt. add bread slices, tossing to coat evenly.

  6. 3) spoon half of the ravioli mixture into pan. top with mozzarella cheese, then add remaining ravioli mixture.

  7. 4) arrange bread slices, slightly overlapping, around edge of baker and pressed slightly into ravioli mixture. sprinkle parmesan cheese over bread and mixture.

  8. 5) bake 15minutes or until ravioli is heated through and bread is crisp and deep golden brown.
